Policies and Disclaimers

CPP allows individuals, organizations, and businesses to advertise or sponsor any of our news pages. However, we reserve the full right to decline ads or messages that we feel may be inconsistent with our mission, which is primarily the promotion of civil and human rights, peace, and social justice.

Updates: Non-profit organizations are allowed three ad or message updates during the purchased time period at no charge. Others will be charged a $10 fee for each update.

Ads and sponsorship: We use a complicated computer algorythmn to produce the news. Occassionally, some unrelated news or content gets through, which we try to promptly remove when we are aware of it. We can not, however, monitor all the pages constantly as there is a massive amount of data that passes through our system. If you see problems with your ad or message, or on a sponsored page, please contact us and we'll try to fix it promptly.

Availability: Alhtough we can never guaranteee that all pages will always be available on the internet, we can guarantee that sponsored pages will be available on the internet for at least 90% of the time. Sometimes, however, our server host goes down for a short while (which is out of our control) but we believe that it is up and running about 99% of the time. In the event that we experience more serious problems, we will extend your purchased time and/or refund your costs proportionally to time lost.

Bumper sticker: The bumper stickers are printed on vinyl by a professional printer, but in dealing with hundreds of stickers in stacks occassionally there are some that will be scratched, faded, or bent. Please return damaged stickers to us and we'll send you replacement(s) or refund your money. We believe that the stickers are completely safe and practical for use on the bumper of your vehicle.

Narrative Submissions: CPP is unable to pay for narratives, however, we will allow you to include approved personal or organizational messages on the web page in which your narrative is published, if accepted.

If we are able to publish your narratives, we can not accept any responsibility for the validity and credibility of the content. All issues, legal and otherwise, are the sole responsibility of the submitter. The submitter also assures us that s/he or they have full rights to offer the narrative to CPP for publication.

Our classic bumper sticker, God Bless the Universe, is now available (FREE upon request while supplies last).

The stunning picture behind the message is at the center of the Omega Nebula, taken by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope in April 2002. The nebula, also known as M17 or the Swan Nebula, exists 5,500 light-years away from earth in the constellation Sagittarius. It is home to a hotbed of newly born stars nestled in glowing gas and a massive hydrogen cloud. From left to right, the picture shows an area more than 3,000 times wider than the Earth's solar system.

Our NEW bumper sticker, A Better World is Possible, is now available.

The phrase "A Better World is Possible" is becoming a unifying call for all world citizens -- one world, many cultures.Κ It is also aligned to the conference slogan "Another World is Possible" of the World Social Forum, the world's largest conference of community activists and world leaders advocating for global peace, justice, equality, eco-friendly and sustainable development, and connectedness. Tens of thousands of activists and world leaders (80,000 participants, representing 2660 organizations and 132 countries) gathered in January 2004 in Mumbai (Bombay), India under this slogan, as they did again in January 2005 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. More information can be found at http://www.forumsocialmundial.org.br/home.asp

CPP distributes this bumper sticker in hopes that it will assist the growing numbers of world citizens who wish to spread the message that there are alternatives to anger, fear, war, greed, unfair trade, and other counter-productive emotions and relationships among nations and the peoples of world. We believe that together we can make this a better planet for us all, and that this is a worthwhile and unifying message to share with others in our communities.
